Refillable

#NOBEAUTYINWASTE

Refillable products: the first step towards sustainable recycling.

We work hard to ensure that our products are disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner after use and fed into the recycling cycle. We pay particular attention to the refillability of our products, especially the mono-material refill bag. By disposing of this bag correctly, you can actively contribute to the recycling process and help to reduce the environmental impact. Our mono plastic is ideal for recycling, as it can be completely reprocessed with the lid. This makes a valuable contribution to protecting our resources and promoting a sustainable future.

This is the first refillable toothpaste in a jar!

Our revolutionary toothpaste is available in two practical sizes: a standard size in an elegant 250 ml amber glass and a compact trial and travel size in a 50 ml brown jar. This eco-friendly innovation sets new standards in dental care by combining sustainability with premium quality.

Thanks to our 100 % recyclable refill pouch, the toothpaste can be refilled as often* as required. The refill pouch is easy to use and minimizes waste, so everyone can actively contribute to reducing plastic waste. The creamy texture of the toothpaste not only ensures pleasant and effective tooth brushing, but also enables effortless refilling and even dosing thanks to the practical pump function.

* We recommend a thorough cleaning of the bottle and the pump after every 5th refill.

And how does that work?

This is a beautiful illustration of the complete life cycle of an amber glass: From raw material to production to recycling. Amber glass protects its contents from UV radiation and thus extends its shelf life. After use, it can be efficiently recycled (as shown in the diagram) to create new bottles. Sustainability starts with the choice of material!

Surcharges for used glass
Waste glass, which accounts for up to 75% (in the case of amber glass) of the material in some types of glass, reduces the energy requirement in glass production by 0.3% for every 1% of waste glass.
Seven
The crushed glass is sieved to ensure that the glass has been sufficiently crushed and no foreign matter is left in it.
Shredding
The cleaned glass is crushed.
Closed conveyor belts with extraction and filter systems minimize dust emissions, and the captured dust is reused in the melt.
Cleaning
In this step, the jar is cleaned of all possible foreign matter.
This includes, for example, labels, adhesive residue, lids or food residue.
Sort
In the recycling plant, the glass is checked, sorted by color and foreign glass such as glass cans, window panes or mirrors are sorted out.
Glass container
Remove labels (JONDI&MOON label in the yellow garbage can) and dispose of the glass in the nearby glass container: JONDI&MOON glass belongs in the brown glass container.
Utilization
You can use your Jondi&Moon glass for as long as you like.
You can wash it in the dishwasher and refill it as often as you like.
Delivery and finishing
The finished glass is delivered to the various customers, labeled and otherwise finished and then reintroduced to the market.
Cooling
To prevent glass breakage during cooling, glass molds are cooled without stress.
A wax emulsion is sprayed onto container glass to reduce friction, and broken glass is recycled.
Hot finishing
(only for container glass)
The molds are sprayed with tin tetrachloride or titanium tetrachloride.
The resulting layer has a strengthening effect and serves as an adhesion promoter for cold-end finishing.
Feeders and molds
In the feeder, the molten raw materials are fed into the respective container jars.
Container jars are blown or pressed into molds.
Melting
The raw material mixture is melted in furnaces at 900 to 1600 degrees.
Container glass is melted in continuous furnaces, often with air preheating and alternating flames for energy efficiency.
Weighing and mixing
Raw materials are precisely weighed and mixed, while closed batch houses with dust protection devices ensure clean production.
Storage
The primary and secondary raw materials are stored in various silos until they reach the batch house via conveyor belts.

Our vision and main motivation is to offer the most resource-efficient packaging on the market.
We are still at the beginning of our journey, but our daily commitment is
to continuously improve our products – both for you and for our planet.
